Experimenting on animals isnt the same as experimenting on children and where the experiments are unecessary, primarily cosmetics but some chemical experiments are unecessary, they shouldnt be carried out. It's a matter of exercising a general suspiscion of experiments, forcing them to justify themselves but not a matter of arbitray assault or condemnation.
As to Y2k, yeah it would be an opportunity but last time I checked I was the only radical in my neighbourhood, the people in the hood wherent that close and would maybe like to kill each other more than capitalists (I know there's some lumpenproletariat scum I'd like to machine gun given a brief moment of instability).
