it was a question

: You’re welcome. It is ‘telling’, you see – telling you that, stomp and pout as you might, my stance on the issues will not deviate from what I perceive to be reasonable. Calling someone a neo-Nazi, a Klansman (as calling someone a communist ought to be) or some such is hardly ‘being a smart-ass’; it is an insult, designed to imply that the target does not deserve a hearing. I simply wish to pass on the fact that your negative opinion has been duly noted, and given the toss.

Oy! Uncross your eyes and read my post again. I ASKED you if you were a neo nazi. I never EVER called you one. I was asking a serious, honest question. That was not the smart-ass part of my post. I'll remember NOT to ask you anymore questions. Sorry if it is so hard for you to understand that the possibility would cross my mind of someone who sounded like they were making excuses for Hitler, not that you were, just that it could have been taken that way.

: I wish to dispel this bit of foolishness. There seems a tendency on the part of the ‘soft’ left to believe that inside the mind of a violent transgressor is a poor, scared little child, desperate for some careful nurturing and understanding. It is this sort of silliness that allowed Hitler to get his army into fighting trim in the first place. If one looks hard enough, I suppose one might find this fearful little youngster; I would contend, however, that on more careful inspection one might find this toddler gutted, a very calculating lizard-like predator hiding within, quite aware of the impact that this ‘guise’ might have on the overly idealistic. One need only go so far as to read the correspondence of the Nazis as per the Chamberlain administration of pre-war Great Britain (and the attitudes of the communists as well, during the Fourth Polish Partition period).

Yes of course you must be 'soft' to believe in HUMAN emotions. Did your dad beat you and tell you not to be a baby and cry or something. I have absolutely NO sympathy for anyone involved in the nazi way of thinking. It is simply a fairly obvious fact that people raised in supportive environments usually end up much more mentally balanced than those who were not, thus more possitive, constructive people.

: A simple rule of thumb - if someone fears something, he tends to avoid it. Invasions, pogroms, 'final solutions', etc. do not normally involve avoiding the target group concerned. Thus, why the macho thug might avoid the cop, and beat the queer (although an armed and belligerent practitioner of the homosexual lifestyle would be another matter entirely, I would suspect).

Obviously we have very different thumbs. I believe people act out on their fears quite often. It is pretty basic. Many times it comes out ass-backwards and is misdirected on to one other than the cause. Also it is very basic for people to take out aggressions on people whose weaknesses threaten them for the simple fact that they despise and or fear these weaknesses in them selves. I watch it happen all the time, even do it my self now and then, as i'm sure we all do.

: Some critical points:
: -Why being Polish might make the Polish role in the Holocaust of personal interest is somewhat confusing. I, for example, am personally interested in the role played by the various parties in pre-communist China, yet have nothing which might be called ‘Chinese blood’. This hobby of ethnicity that seems to be popular nowadays is rapidly turning into something of a hysterical cult. Please – if you are intent on a ‘personal’ interest, try to avoid making it based on something so arbitrary as an accident of birth.

HMMM....yeah uh I guess you're right, why would someone of polish descent be interested in polish history, you're right, too silly. SO now you are even so cr(ass) as to tell me what the criteria for my personal interests should be? Go start your own pogram while your at it!! ALL interests are PERSONAL, yes even YOURS!how shocking, eh. Who exactly is 'stomping & pouting'

: -As to the ‘nonsense of Freud’, I should like you to peruse the works of a one Dr. Marvin Minsky, who is a professor researching artificial intelligence at MIT. Frequently in this Freudian system of analysis, valid ideas that are ‘disagreeable’ are chalked up to some obscure neurosis or other, in an attempt to trivialize the speaker/writer. The Old Man himself used such techniques to convince a hesitant young lady to accept the ‘intimate duties’ called upon her by the elder male party of an arranged marriage. I personally find these ploys beneath my contempt.

You 'should like' a lot of people do a lot of things. Studying real live people with real live issues is much more educational than reading someone elses diatribes. It's real easy to spout nonsense, but it's a whole different ball game to experience. We have come along way since the likes of frued & co. I don't care for the ploy you spoke of myself. The therapy I have experienced, and agree with simply guides you to finding the answers yourself, not 'telling' you what you think and feel. I found this did worlds of good for me and the other people involved.

: -Why would someone want a bigger house? Hmm … this is a tough one. Gee. Why would I wish to trade in my drafty, rat-infested hut for the elegant estate on the hill? Especially if I might also participate in the fun of batting the black-robed outsider about - without fear of reprisal? Read your Old Man’s thoughts on aggression; even he picked up on this one.

OK I can see why YOU didn't get this, being republican and all. It IS possible to be HAPPY with very little. Hard to imagine, eh? If one requires constant bigger & better the problem likely lies within, not without therefor one will always be a gaping hole looking for external sources of fullfillment. The greed is of a desire, the desire is created from a lack of fullfillment otherwise it would not exist. The happiest, most content person I ever knew lived in a shed sized A frame in northern MN, middle of a cow field, no electricity, running water, a woodstove, porta potty. Grew her own food. A very cold location. She was offered more by friends & family many times, but had no desire for it. I would much rather be happy with simplicity, than eternally searching for greener grass. Life is too short. There are many ways to be 'wealthy'

: Of course, afterwards I am suitably appalled at what transpired. Of course I was forced to participate at gunpoint in this most horrible display. And no, you may not have MY mansion back, your dastardly Pro-Semite you. Let the survivor of Auchwitz live in that old hut – if he dares…

Not all of them required a gun for motivation. Probably even less people would now.

: No, it doesn’t. Nor did it in Russia, for similar reasons. I myself have the sneaking suspicion that the real crime of Mr. Hitler was not so much involving himself in the nastiness of genocide, but actually in being so committedly anti-communist. He was seen by some as a trainable German version of Lenin, or perhaps as a helpful stooge who might speed the inevitable communist takeover along. He really put a scare into the internationals, and they’ve never forgiven him for it. This would explain why many of the same people who are so appalled at this carnage in Europe seem not to bat an eye when worse, fresher transgressions of common decency occurred in Asia (especially in South East Asia – or perhaps M. Zedong, H. C. Minh and P. Pot were only being smartasses).

Ha ha ha. the US turned their eyes to plenty, prison camps here for example. Belgium did a nice number on Africa too, I heard 2 million.

: All I can say to this kind offer is, “Thank you, but I believe I must rebuff you.” No offense intended, of course – for someone so kind to offer up such precious “fare”.

Good one. I guess someone has to flatter you, it may as well be yourself.

(DC: No. I do not think you so foolish. I believe that you are attempting to give the impression that this is so, in an attempt to bolster a faulty position) (DC: Your feigned innocence is truly touching)

You have some very interesting interpretations.

(DC: Very likely not. It would be up to others to take note of said motivations which, if you were a leftist, would likely become painfully obvious over time)

Ugh! You too? Left, right, communist, capitolist, socialist, yadayadayada Don't you have to join one of these groups to be an official member? hahaha I am none of these. Just a person.

(DC: If I were, I would have not hesitation in announcing it, on a chair in a crowded room or otherwise. I have announced my Republican tendencies to Angela Davis in person – at no less than a communist rally; have attempted to join the Black Muslims at a similar function and, once rebuffed, chastized the speaker for his racism; have been threatened with bodily harm and death by Sandanistas for my vocal 'expressionism' at one of their fund raising affairs; have been summarily barred on more than one occasion from open meetings of the local Communist party for quietly questioning them in regards to the very topics of discussion they had chosen … I have even appeared on local television, in protest of a protest made towards the Persian Gulf war. I have lost many friends and have suffered numerous social rebuffs in regards to holding decidedly conservative ideas in a decidedly liberal region. The reason I do not express a belief in the ideology of the Nazis is because they are wrong, and violently so. For identical reasons, I do not claim to be a communist)

Do you actually derive pleasure from these adventures?(I am not kidding this time) Or just get more frustrated? It doesn't sound very rewarding to me, but to each their own, I suppose. Isn't there a more uplifting, rewarding way to further your cause? Like maybe fund raising for your favorite politition or even becoming one. I'm dead serious. It doesn't sound like the activity of a fullfilled individual, nor likely activity to ever become so. Friends can be nice to have around, even if you don't always see eye to eye. Middle ground is possible. You must admit it appears you are simply being a trouble maker and nuisance in these gatherings, if they are peaceful. If not call the authorities. I don't care for KKK rallies myself, but I don't know that i'd crash one. It's fun to have friends to argue with. And you are good at it, so maybe compromise wouldn't be so bad now and then. Doesn't the result of such ideals make you sad now & then? (once agian, I know you are dismissing me as a 'soft' idiot right now, but maybe you can see your way past this and know I am being honest) I am used to engaging with people whom I disagree with strongly at times, but that's the risk one takes to find occasional meaning. (this is all said in a friendly tone, even though I understand my frequent sarcasm would confuse that)

(DC: The same could be said for celibacy. Very recently, in fact, I have been ridiculed for my own preference. Does this ring a bell, dear?)

As long as we are so familiar, no honey, it does not ring a bell. I was kidding actually. And I am sorry for my crack, although it was actually at my expense also, as it was said to me. I greatly respect your choice of celabacy to be trully honest. Being true to yourself should be the main determining factor. What others think of this is not pertinent, so long as you harm no other. It is your life. You are the one who lives with the pain or bliss reaped of the choices you make. People can talk all they want, but ultimately who cares. If you are happy then, you're rubber, i'm glue, hahaha.

: Perhaps if you would take a moment to look at the radical left-wing movements of Europe in more detail, with an eye less towards how such ‘scholarship’ might advance your own ideological agenda, you might more clearly see the relationship between a murderous totalitarian ideology based on degrading traders and a murderous totalitarian ideology based on degrading an ethnic group popularly associated with trading. At the very least, it might make you a bit less flustered when dealing with those of us who have.

Oh, honey, never fear. I am hard to 'fluster'. Debating is entertaining to me. Good way to sharpen my arguing skills, LOL Comes in handy. You have your perceptions and I have mine. Quite often neither of us will be 'right'. That's why it works so much better when people put their heads together, gives a more complete picture. Being passionate and obstinate does not always make one clearer, this goes for me, you and everyone else. You insinuate too much. Who advances my ideologyy? Now I actually have an 'agenda' too? Boy, you and Stu, paranoia will destroy ya. Oy, did you have a mother? Was she kind? Was dad nice to her? If you are happy and content in life, which is ever so possible and free too(magic word, haha) Why would my 'agenda' matter? Why would my being a peaceful, caring person rain on your parade. Misery loves company I guess.
