: Of course Nazi's acted out of fear! Have you never read anything about Hitler? Not very uplifting reading material, but he had to be about one of the most gutless wonders ever. Top ten at least. He had a hugely low self-esteem.

Don: In fact, he demonstrated considerable courage in WW1. He won the Iron Cross First Class and Second Class. He also demonstrated personal courage in WW2, riding into Czechoslovakia in an open car (on Rommel's recommendation). Commiting horrid acts does not make one a coward.

:For an entertaining way to learn this watch the Boys from Brazil.

Don: For the truth, watch fiction!

: How can some one on such a huge power trip not possibly have low SE!

Don: QED!

: The whole Nazi movement was based on these very feelings of inadequacy. Didn't you ever do that blue eye brown eye thing in school? Where the blue eye kids ridicule the brown eyes and how the reactions are? The Germans were at a low point as a nation. They were ripe for the power boost picking on others gave them.

Don: When Germany lost WW1, most German soldiers at the front felt they were winning. They were still on French soil, and holding their own. Most of these men did not realize the extent of starvation among the German people, or the implications of the Americans entrance into the war. They felt they were "stabbed in the back".

Don: The French, British, and Italians all made considerable demands upon Germany, despite President Wilson's efforts. The allies wanted revenge on Germany, and they got it. And they watered the seeds of hate . . .

: It is pretty likely KKK's get the same rush. The ole blow out your flame so mine looks brighter logic.

Don: Or they feel blacks are inferior, and they want to deny them equal rights . . .

: You are not a neo nazi are you? Sorry had to ask, can't see how one could not see the fear aspect otherwise.

Don: And anyone you don't agree with MUST be a neo-nazi, right?

: Even today old poles admit why they went along with the germans. Because they were jealous and wanted a piece of the pie. You can find some good documentaries at the library.

Don: Lots of people went along with the nazis. Most people in Europe lothed jews at that time. In the Ukarane, they complained that the nazis were letting too many jews escape . . .

Don: Both very good books and very bad books exist on this subject. Buyer beware!
