East Timor

I'm a newcomer to this debating room. Having read previous messages in relation to East Timor, as regards to blame, most countries have in one way or another contributed economically and militarily, or even just by association to the bloodshed in east Timor.

As the saying goes, lay down with dogs and you get up with fleas. The only debating I see going on is who has more fleas. There comes a time when we have to turn around and see the dog faeces left behind and clean it up. In other words, a lot of countries have contributed either by action or inaction to the problems in East Timor, but now is a time to fix the problems. It doesn't matter who is responsible, there are 800,000 people who really don't care at the moment they just want their country.
