I accept your apology with great glee and open arms. But now that you've admitted to SOME of the bible being an allegory, how do you know for sure that the WHOLE ENTIRE THING isn't an allegory? Is there a guide somewhere near the table of contents that says which parts are allegories and which aren't? Are the allegories flagged with a little bullshit icon next to each one (or perhaps a winking smiley face if you prefer something less crude)? What about the parts you deem as critical for getting into heaven or avoiding hell? How do you know what the correct way is to interpret THOSE passages? None.
