2 Q. Did it look into recycled content at all or did it just
3 specify what recycled content was?
4 A. I could not tell you. I would not know.

6 Q. As part of the specifications for each item?
7 A. I would not know whether that was looked at at that
8 point in time.

10 MR. JUSTICE BELL: I was going to say, do you know whether
11 recycled content was looked at?
12 A. During that review, no, I would not know.

14 Q. It looks from what you have said is that an inventory was
15 going to be made so that the possibility of standardisation
16 of Europe items could be investigated and reduction of
17 packaging on all items could be investigated, that is what
18 this -----
19 A. Reduction of number of items, I think, it says
20 "reduction of" -----

22 MR. MORRIS: "Reduction in packaging on all items"?
23 A. OK. And they would probably have done things like, and
24 they will probably have noted things like weight, I would
25 imagine.

27 Q. Was McDonald's interested at that time in the recycled
28 content of any of its packaging; was that any consideration
29 at that time?
30 A. Since I have not been involved in this study, that
31 would be guessing. I would think so, because there were
32 various items recycled before I started, so they must have
33 been interested in it.

35 Q. I know it is frustrating or tedious -----

37 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Will you see if that can be dug out,
38 Mr. Van Erp, if there is a copy of it? It is the initial
39 report which is being asked for. A review is not
40 necessarily anything in writing at all.
41 A. What I would think that the initial -- I know I have
42 seen a report which, really, all it does is make an
43 inventory of all the products with some main
44 characteristics, but I will see -- I can see if that is
45 available.

47 Q. You obviously do not have an absolute recollection, see if
48 you can. The point is that it may or may not have some
49 indication of recycled content at a particular date or
50 dates.
51 A. Yes, I can have a look at that.
