MR. JUSTICE BELL: It would. I will go away. I will come back
at 11 o'clock unless you give a message to Mr. Riley to
give to me that you want any further time. You can talk to
Mr. Hopkins, if you want ---

MR. RAMPTON: I would suggest that -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- although he has been sworn. Boreal is
named after Boris, the God of the North Wind, is he?

  THE WITNESS: Indeed, yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, I thought so.

                           (Short Adjournment)

MR. MORRIS: Maybe the first thing to do is to take the
statement as read, if that is OK?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, perhaps we should go through the form of
that. (To the witness): I have a statement signed by you,
Mr. Hopkins, and dated 17th June 1994 at the end, although
at the beginning it has the date. I am sorry. It is dated
12th June 1994. I also have an addendum dated 17th June
       1994.
       A. Yes, that is right.

  Q. You stand by what you have said in those statements, do
       you?
       A. I do.

MR. MORRIS: Does your statement have 41 numbered pages and then
the addendum? I am just checking that everyone has the
same documents because I think there are about three
versions. It should have 41 -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mine has a 41 in the bottom right-hand corner
and then, in fact, it carries on over the page, "additional
       information".

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Then it has a one page addendum.

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Then behind it I have put some documents
which you handed in some time ago; a long-hand bibliography
       and the Skogsindustrierna document.

MR. MORRIS: There was, I think, an addendum two by hand which
       was just a couple of references which I might have to copy;
just two extracts which can be looked at anyway.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do not have that, I do not believe. Do you
have a copy of that now with you?

MR. MORRIS (To the witness): Do you have a spare copy of that?
       A. No, I have only got a copy of my own handwritten
