there to collect photographic evidence and to witness the
conditions that chickens are transported in.

  Q. Were all of you like-minded, what I think the Defendants
       call animal welfarists?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Yes, how many were you that went?
       A. It is hard for me to remember exactly; I would say
       about 30.

  Q. About 30?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Did some people take photographs then?
       A. Yes, they did.

  Q. What happened to those photographs?
       A. Well, Co-ordinating Animal Welfare -- the films and
photographs that were taken were sent to them to be used.

  Q. Sorry, please, it is my fault. I cannot hear you very
       well.
       A. The photographs and films that were taken on that day
were handed over to Co-ordinating Animal Welfare for their
use for them to do whatever they wanted to do with.

  Q. You do not know what happened to those films and
       photographs after that?
       A. No, I do not.

  Q. Are you a member of this group, Co-ordinating Animal
       Welfare?
       A. Not a member, no.

  Q. Have you had a long interest in animal welfare?
       A. I have, yes.

  Q. Was there more than one lorry or just one lorry that you
       saw?
       A. Just one lorry.

  Q. Was the lorry driven? Did it have a driver?
       A. Yes, it did.

  Q. Did he show any reaction to 30 of you inspecting his lorry
       with the birds on it?
       A. Well, I did not take any notice of what the driver was
doing because I was intent on looking at the conditions of
       the chickens.

  Q. Were all 30 of you crowded around the lorry looking at the
       chickens or what?
       A. People were involved in different activities. Most of
them were going up to the sides of the lorry to look at all
of the cages and some of them around at the back of the
lorry, some were round at the side.

  Q. What time of day was it when you arrived there?
       A. I cannot remember, but I think it was around mid-day.
