     3        soliciting or distribution of leaflets.  They are
     4        specifically set out by the National Labour Relations
     5        Board.  We have always been found to be handling that area
     6        correctly.

     9        moment.  No, I will just bring up -----

    11   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  When you say soliciting or distribution of
    12        leaflets, do you mean in relation to union matters?
    13        A.  And other matters as well, and under the NLRB would be
    14        union matters, my Lord, but there are various state and
    15        local ordinances dealing with the requirement that you have
    16        to have these kinds of provisions in order to stop the
    17        solicitation by insurance sales people, book sales people
    18        or whatever.  So, there are a variety of different laws, if
    19        you will, my Lord, that govern this area, both federal,
    20        state and local.

    22   MR. RAMPTON:  My Lord, I am sorry I have taken a little bit of
    23        time.  I had to find Mr. Copeland's statement -- your
    24        Lordship may wish me to come back to this in re-examination
    25         -- but I do believe that there is element here of playing
    26        to the gallery.  I have had a look at the paragraph from
    27        which Mr. Morris extracted that one sentence.  It is not
    28        representative of the sense of the paragraph.

    33        paragraph.  I am bothered about the rights of -----

    36        paragraph because it has been suggested that you have put
    37        to a witness something in someone's statement which does
    38        not actually reflect what the witness says.

    47        reason we have to look at it is to see if that accusation
    48        levelled at what you have done is accurate or not.  If it
    49        is not accurate, we can then put the bundle away; if it is
    50        accurate, then Mr. Stein can look at the whole paragraph.
