  Q. But you do not remember what happened to any copies that
       you had?
       A. No, I do not.

  Q. You did not feel it was important to keep those affidavits?
       A. Well, like I said, you know, all this happened 16 years
ago. I cannot comment on every piece of paper, OK, that
was part of the dispute. I honestly do not know where they
       went.

  Q. You wanted to keep all the affidavits that put your side of
the story, but get rid of anything that put the other side
       of the story?
       A. I think, if I may say so, you are trying to get me to
say that I did away with papers. I did not do away with
any papers. Whatever I had on the files is what was
       there.

MR. MORRIS: James Macken, he was picketing from day one, was he
       not?
       A. Yes.

  Q. As we have just heard, he had made an affidavit for one of
       the early hearings, picketing hearings?
       A. Yes, I recollect that.

  Q. Was he picketing every day, as far as you know?
       A. From memory, he was, yes.

  Q. I believe at one time that you referred to -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can I just ask: it refers to counsel for the
Defendants, and it refers to affidavits of three of the
Defendants and also someone called Thomas White. Who
represented the Defendants? Did they have their own
solicitors, or was it the union's solicitors and counsel?
Can you remember or not help me on that?
       A. What I can remember of it, my Lord, was that the union
had a solicitor who, to the best of my memory, represented
       them as well.

  Q. James Macken and Sean Mrozek were employees?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. Can you remember who Noel Boyle and Noel Dowling were?
       A. Yes. They were employees.

  Q. They were employees, as well?
       A. I remember their names.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you.

MR. MORRIS: So James Macken was there from day one; he picketed
every day. Do you recall that he also had signed support
posters or appeals for support for mass pickets, things
       like that?
       A. Yes, I can recall something of that.

  Q. Would it be fair to say that of all the strikers he was the
