Day 236 - 17 04 96 - Page 3

                                                                  Day 236

1 MR. MORRIS: And on page 7, the second line, it says: "Five
2 inquiry agents, including Mr. Carroll". I do not think
3 Mr. Carroll was an inquiry agent.
     4
5 MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. I will put Mr. Nicholson.
     6
     7 MR. MORRIS: Mr. Carroll.
     8
9 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Carroll. Yes. Thank you very much.
    10
11 MS. STEEL: The only other thing which I would like to mention
12 is on page 21. I have not checked the transcripts but
13 I think that in sub-paragraph (H) said that it would be the
14 same as sub-paragraph (G) and it should read:
    15
16 "Sub-paragraph (H) alleges that if, which is denied,
17 the Defendant's by virtue of their involvement".
    18
19 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Indeed, but it is only a summary of the
    20 effect of it.
    21
    22 MS. STEEL: OK.
    23
24 MR. JUSTICE BELL: And the sub-paragraph (H) to which I in fact
25 gave leave is to form the form which you dictated to me in
    26 court.
    27
    28 MS. STEEL: Right. OK.
    29
30 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Whereas I have directly quoted some others
31 I have not done that with (H) and that is no more than the
32 summary of what I thought was the gist of it.
    33
34 MS. STEEL: Thank you. Actually I have noticed there is
35 another "Plaintiffs" to "Defendants" on page 25.
    36
    37 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Page?
    38
39 MS. STEEL: 25, or "Defendants" to "Plaintiffs" actually. In
40 the second full paragraph, third line from the bottom of
    41 that paragraph, it says:
    42
43 "The Defendants have held back from writing to the
    44 group".
    45
46 It should be "the Plaintiffs" on page 25.
    47
48 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, thank you.
    49
50 MR. MORRIS: There is another one as well.
    51
52 MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do actually read each of the
53 transcriptions. I am grateful for that, because I made a
54 note of those. I do read the transcriptions through and
55 I hope I picked up any other inconsequential errors.
    56
57 MR. MORRIS: There is one other I can find on page 13, if it
58 helps. It is the first full paragraph, fifth line, it says
59 "whatsoever and wheresoever"; presumably it is
    60 "whensoever".

                                      3
