A. No.

MS. STEEL: The two that you met in the office previously,
presumably they gave you names when the ---?
A. At the time.

Q. At the time?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you remember what their names are?
A. No. They produced their warrant cards.

Q. Had you had contact with them prior to when they telephoned
you?
A. No.

Q. And had you ever worked with them during your time in the
police?
A. Special Branch, or those two officers in particular?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Those officers in particular?
A. I would not know. I do not think so. They were fairly
junior. I do not mean that disparaging them, they were
fairly young.

MS. STEEL: And then -- sorry, I cannot remember where I was.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You said no contact before they phoned and he
had not worked with the two officers before.

MS. STEEL: Right. You met two, four weeks before the protest?
A. Yes.

Q. Did you have any contact with them between then and the
protest?
A. No.

Q. Can I just ask you about the photographs they showed you;
were they photographs of the protest or...
A. No, the one you were in I took had been taken in the
street. There were 2 or 3 people in the picture with you,
and they indicated you to me. The one with Gravett, I have
got a feeling was in a shop doorway, he was alone.

Q. Then, after the protests, you have had various meetings
with ARNI Special Branch officers since then?
A. No, not me.

Q. Mr. Carroll has?
A. He may have done. I do not know.

Q. He has not talked to you about it?
A. Well, it would not be in the course of business if he
did, it would be socially. He may have done in the course
of business in later years, but not that he told me or he
reported to me.

Q. So, has McDonald's had any formal contact with ARNI since
that time?
A. I have not.
