Your argument crumbles with the admission of selfishness. People are selfish. Who are we to decide whether others should live or die? Who made you 'god'? Exactly what allows you to say "they are of no importance"? You are clearly speaking from a self-centred human perspective, and the validity of your statement disappears when you recognize this.
