by the way did you know taht "curry" has an utterly different emaning in India than it does in America, I don't knwo about Ireland. It means anything made with sort of a mix of spices, it doesn't have to have sauce. For instance when my grandmotehr talks about making vegetable curry she's talking about cooking some vegetables just with a spot of oil and spices, with mustard seed and a little bit of lentils.

McSpotlight: As I understood it, there's not really anything like "curry"; it's an Anglo-Indian invention; the nearest word is the Gujarati "carhi" (which is a fairly cheap-and-cheerful dish). Anyway, prefer a good masala dosa myself ;)
