Karen: How does one hold an entire organized religion accountable for the acts of select individuals? DADDIO: The same way a business is held accountable for the actions of its employees. You wouldn’t want flat broke, wage slave employees spitting in your food or screwing up your dry cleaning and not be able to sue the company would you?
Karen: What do you want? revenge? If not then breath deeply, punch a pillow, what ever, then LET GO. Come on now, if this applied then maybe the native americans should declare war on us "americans" and give us the boot!
DADDIO: Hell yes, they SHOULD. They’d be completely morally justified doing so. Their the most disenfranchised people in recorded history. Their families were slaughtered and their land was stolen. The U.S. has broken almost every one of the 30,000 treaties that were made with them. They had achieved what should be the ultimate goal of every nation on earth: perfect harmony with nature. Instead of being revered for their enlightenment, they were labeled as lowly "savages" and systematically wiped out. They should be given millions of acres of vast wilderness stocked with wild buffalo. The water and air on this land should be protected with a death penalty. And if we can’t learn how to live next door in peace and harmony with them we should pack up everything and leave quietly for whomever would take our lame, sorry white asses.
We’ve demonstrated pretty thoroughly that we have know intent of doing anything close to this, so, yes, the U.S. government and ALL of its citizenry deserves whatever the hell it gets.
Karen: We should be held accountable right? How about Africa anf the slave thing? Maybe all people in america of African descent should get us whites some accountability for slavery and devastating Africa........etc. etc.
DADDIO: Sounds good to me…..why the hell not. Have we offered to set every single black person in this country with a mansion on their own land in a tropical African paradise? If I were a black person in this country, that would be just the BEGINNING of MY expectations. When IS white america going to be held accountable for how it has treated and how it continues to treat blacks? Looks NEVER to me. So, I think you can pretty much bank on either being endlessly fucked with by black people or on God/Nature doling out any number and kind of awful punishments. Too bad we’re so freakin’ stupid as a race and a country.
Karen: Destroying people in the name of greed is rather common.
DADDIO: For imperialistic white asshole nations like the U.S., yes it is. It’s a part of the daily routine. And you better believe somebody’s keeping score. The U.S. is not going to be around in any recognizable form much longer. It will soon go the way of Rome.
We should ALL be held accountable for ANYTHING we choose to participate in, period. Why would you want it any other way?
