lives saved from animal experimentation

First of all, if you believe the christian religion then you understand that God gave man dominion over the animals. For those of you who believe that animals experimentation is wrong I respect your opinion and have listened attentively to your points; and if someone does not scratch the surface of the arguements ya'll have made then they make good, moral, and ethical sense. However, since this is a subject that interests me very much I decided to do some research on the matter to form my own opinion.
From my research I have learned that millions, yes, millions of lives have be saved due to the knowledge and advancements that comes from animal experimentation. If you do not believe me then try to think how many deaths would occur if society never created vaccines, or pain killers, or even anesthetics. You see people, despite what liberal opinions try to instill in you animal experimentation is done for the good of mankind, the human race and not just for some greedy fame seeking scientist.
Now I would like you to ask yourself a question. If someone you loved dearly became deathly ill and none of our current medicines could cure him/her but scientists were on the verge of creating a medicine that would completely cure him/her, would you want them to finish their research and save your friend's, brother's, sister's or possibly even your parents life? I don't think that question evens demands an answer. It is a simple matter of priorities. People must weigh the options and make a choice. If we choose to sacrifice 1,000 innocent laboratory mice and in turn save millions of equally innocent human lives isn't the sacrifice worth it?
I appreciate you listening to my opinion. Please write me if you care to discuss or debate the issue.
