I argued that:

: : SDF: So suggesting that people might consider riding their bike to work, as the people here do, is really a plot for global takeover, it has nothing to do with using less gasoline, getting more exercise, or putting out less carbon dioxide. Have you any evidence for this assumption, as it might pertain to these people?

To which Robert responded:

: You may suggest all you want. The point of the matter is that the opinion of rank-and -file environmental foot soldiers like yourself doesn't mean diddly-squat.

("Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" being contravened in the last sentence," however, let's continue.)

So, if I'm just a "foot soldier" for the Imperial Communist, when I argue that:

: : SDF: Let's recapitulate: You're arguing that, because some Greens (Mr. Fischer et al.) do unGreen things, all Greens are phonies.

: : So, if we used this same logic, we could argue JUST AS YOU DID that, because a few Christians conducted the Spanish Inquisition and because a few Christians participated in the genocide against Native peoples in events such as the forced march along the Trail of Tears, that all Christians are phonies, that they don't really "turn the other cheek," and that they're all part of a genocidal conspiracy.

and Robert responds to the effect that:

: Perhaps these folks were not Christians at all, perhaps only in name?

SDF: And perhaps YOU'RE not really a Christian, a "foot soldier" of these same genocidal forces. Look, Robert, my logic is impeccable. I will recap the syllogisms for the reading pleasure of that portion of my audience that follows logic.

if we can argue that:

A) some Greens support genocide,

therefore:

B) All Greens are really foot soldiers for the Greens who support genocide

and

C) All Greens are not really greens, they're phony
*****
then we can also argue, by the same stroke of logic:
*****
A) some Christians support genocide

therefore:

B) All Christians are really foot soldiers for the Christians who support genocide

and:

C) All Christians are not really Christian, they're phony

In conclusion, I can accuse you of the same things you're accusing me of, if I chose to travel the same logical route you traveled. Fortunately for me, I'm above that.

May the God within you cause you to be less ingratiating and to restrain the hands on your keyboard before you accuse others of things you don't really know.
