Well, i've lived in the US all my life and yes there are people here who celebrate may day, maybe not as whole heartedly as christmas, etc.
As a kid in girl scouts we brought "may baskets" to nursing homes to give to the elderly and to visit them. There are may pole dances too. I'm not much of a holiday person so i'm not too up on my may day facts but I know it is observed by at least some here.
