I'm reminded of a joke I saw in Playboy magazine. A very kind and gentle looking male in his late 30's has escorted his date to her front door. In his best droopy, puppy dog look he stands at a tactful and unassuming distance from her as she inserts her key into the lock and says to him: "Ned, you're the most caring and sensitive man I've ever met. Its too bad you're such a wimp."
That pretty much says it all right there. As long as you gals can't make up your minds about what the hell it is you want, then you'll just have to continue eating whatever it is you're served. You want us to be tuff, delicate, independent, dependent, considerate, indifferent, controllable, uncontrollable, hot, cold, fatherly, childlike, predictable, unpredictable, wealthy and telepathic to boot.
A shortcoming in any one of these areas can put a man in the dog house. Its a rigged game, and as a man discovers this, he begins to value women more and more as life support systems for pussies. That doesn't leave women with much breathing room. As far as most men are concerned, when a woman isn't serving up snatch, she's creating calamity and confusion both locally within the relationship and globally in the guise of war and planetary destruction as whole nations of men race frantically to appease the poontang goddess.
