Daddio, my dear chap,

God did not create robots because it would be impossible for them to love Him.

: Forget it Floyd, Robert has been lost to the dark forces of trailer park christianity for quite some time. Once they're this far gone, the neural network that keeps this delusional state intact is hard wired and generally cannot be rerouted. Essentially you are "debating" with a program - some fixed lines of code that run in a continuous loop deep within the recesses of Robert's brain. You are not talking to a "person" per se, but a determinant finite state machine with a very limited set of fixed outputs. Several of his responses actually had me thinking that "Robert" might be an interent bot ("Robert" being derived from "Robot").

A rather interesting characterisation, "trailer park". Admittedly, I'm not from a wealthy Midlands boarding school but I hope this does not discount me in your more perhaps privledged eyes. Incidently, to say that life arose from natural processes is a more dogmatic (dare I say robotic) statement than to say it was created.

Why? Because creation recognises that there is extra-dimensionality beyond our space/time limitations. Evolutionism is stuck in a century-old Tubingen School of thought where dimensions beyond ours were totally discounted. Since Einstien, we've learned quite a bit more and the evidence is compelling now for extra-dimensionality. The Bible boldly proclaimed this however years ago "In the beginning...".

The interesting question here is, How did Moses and the other prophets thousands of years ago know that there were dimensions outside of our space/time?

A good follow-on question to that would be, Why don't you know it here and now, Daddio?

: Robert "the person" if he exists at all (and I suspect he does) is mentally in a state equivalent to cryonic suspension. It is a situation to be pittied more than anything else - and I for one certainly do - because usually something pretty terrible has to happen to a person before they slip into dead netherworlds such as the one Robert inhabits. Severe religious abuse, intense guilt and/or shame stemming from traumatic childhood experiences (I'm guessing abandonment here), demonic possesion, lengthy chemical dependencies - all or any combination of these could be responsible for his condition. I wouldn't even rule out Robert being a vestige of some sick government expirement. It might be interesting to ask him about his past.

Thanks for the psycho-analysis. This is getting to be quite regular here.

: What might prove even more interesting would be to reverse engineer his thinking into the lines of code that drive it then feed this code back to him via this forum and see how he responds.

Interesting to note, Watson and Crick in 1953 called DNA the language of life because of its exact code. This fits with the Genesis account in that when God created animals and man, He spoke. The language of life? Perhaps.

: At any rate, if the REAL Robert can here me, I pray that you find someone in your life (human) that can show you some real love and compassion. Its out there, and when you find it, hopefully you'll be able to live again.

Don't worry about that. I have numerous loving children and a lovely wife. The love of Jesus is deep down in our hearts. Perhaps, He'll reside with you some day? Cheers.

Robert
