: : Has anyone read William Dembski's "Mere Creation?" That book alone has caused me to reject Darwinian naturalism.

: Has anyone read the bible? That book alone has caused me to reject christianity.

Have either of you considered that the theories are both correct? I am aware of some agnostic beliefs which suggest that man did not evolve from apes but from a class of super humans who's necessary incest led to the denigartion of the species to such an extent that we could biologically be categorised as similar to the monkeys and apes, evloution did take place through adaption to environmental conditions (accounting for racial caracturistics) but we are now progressing to a final stage and a single race through the intermarriage of different races etc. I dont think that's an incredible belief.

Anyway there was a time that the Bible was beleived literally it was called the Dark Ages and the Flat Earth was the Centre of the Universe and people where burned as Witches and believers had to massacre Infidels (all of which are justified by the Bible and Creationism) and there have been times when versions of Darwinism have ruled through Spencerism or Hitlerism.

It's not really how did we get here that's important but what we're expected to do now that we're here.
