For anyone who doesn't know, this guy is referring to a case that I believe took place in Michigan (though I may be wrong about that) Anyway, this 20 something year old guy flipped his canoe in a river in a park where there were many families around. He starting spewing curses from his mouth like there was no tomorrow. He said the "f" word something like a dozen times in anger, and with kids around. The guy was charged and fined. I agree with the punishment. Cursewords don't bother or offend me in the least, but I believe that regular people should have the right to go outside and not have to hear anyone talk like that (children, mostly), especially if it is in a fit of rage. If you want to talk like that, at least don't do it in front of kids, it's innappropiate.

McSpotlight: Hmm. Personally, I'd say violence and the portrayal of violence everywhere was fucking offensive; not to mention gross economic inequality and social exclusion. We don't seem to have any laws about not inflicting those on children.
