: Having homosexual urges might very well be common to us all to some degree.
Might it? To exactly what degree "might" homosexual urges be common to you? Can you elaborate on your specific homosexual urges please?

:It is confusing and disorienting if the urge (temptation) is powerful.

Thats an unfair statement. Not every gay person feels that way. You mightve phrased it "I feel confused and disoriented when the urge (temptation) is powerful."

:Acting on those urges typically causes guilt. Guilt forces rationalization or poor self image. Rationalization is manifest in the flaming, in your face acivist using shock tactics and hyper effeminant behavior.
I agree w/ all of that, to a "degree". Acting out ones homosexuality does inflict guilty feelings in many gays, but only because they have been raised in a society which leaves them no choice but to feel guilt and shame over it. I also agree that the majority of the hyper effeminate affect is just a reaction to the persons shame and severe low self worth, but again only due to society; I liken it to obese woman who at 3 or 4 hundred pounds parade around in lingerie on the Ricky Lake show and claim to be "fat and all that" and generally put on the attitude that they are confident and thrilled w/ their enormous weight. IMO its all a defense against what they feel most in pain over, and what they know they are being horribly ridiculed over. The somewhat effeminate male becomes hyper effeminate (or even hyper masculine) in reaction to society's scorn of him/ his mannerisms.

: Poor self image was manifested in all the non-flaming homosexuals I ever knew. Not a happy person in the bunch. If forced to characterize the common element among them I would say it was true desperation.

I agree 100% w/ that, but I find you disgraceful for using that fact in support of your misguided anti gay fixation instead of seeing it for what it really says. Why do you think poor self image is so manifest among non flaming gays? Ill tell you: The Richard Simmons type knows his place. He knows hes gay, hes been made fun of his whole life, he's seen himself in other effeminate gays and identifies w/ them. Its obvious to everyone that he is a "fag" due to his mannerisms. His expieriance is difficult enough, but what about the masculine, everyday "straight acting" gay? He appears and acts just like all the other guys. No one ever assumes he might be gay. He has no other masculine gay figure to identify w/, only the flamers society condemns. There isnt a huge oppurtunity for him to ever express his true feelings, he must hide them at all cost for if he doesnt then he also will be shunned by his peers, maybe family and society. There is little chance for a gay boy to develope into a healthy, happy, well adjusted gay man when he has spent his entire life, including his most formative years, under the rules of a society which does nothing to nurture self esteem and self love in homosexuals and everything to destroy it. Living under such conditions does indeed cause "true desperation".

:Sorry if that appears as a judgement but judgement also includes sentencing. I couldn't sentence a gay man or woman to hell. If hell exists that is God's decision.

That (of course you'll deny) is your manipulative, twisted way of saying "Im not judging gays, but "God" is and he sentences them to hell."
Note to you: "He" doesnt exist, therefore no hell.

: All the same, I'll not abide teaching children that homosexuality is good. My experience says it is certainly not good.

Please say you have no children.?.
