A little more on the Congo

Your assessment of teh Belgian's role in the Congo is an udnerestimate. They killed 10 million, not 2 million, according to soem sources- 50% of teh total Congolese population. And multilated plenty more- chopping off hands was an easy way to claim you killed people without having to waste bullets. But it was all in the name of Capitalism and Christianity, so it must be OK. Oh, and they called trhemselves teh "Congo Free State" as well- anything in the name of freedom, right? (Sarcasm)

Second point- technically, it wasn't the "Belgians", it was King Leopold. The Congo was his private estate, not the public property of Belgium. This should convince anybody of the wonders that private enterprise can bring about (more sarcasm).
