We are the many. We desire. We hunger.

The few produce. They hoard the results of their planning and their creativity. These concepts are alien to us. The Collective does not hoard, we consume. The Collective does not plan, we take. The Collective does not create or imagine, we simply wish.

We are the Collective. We will not tolerate unconsumed wealth. We will not tolerate unassimilated productivity. We are the Collective, and are strong enough and hungry enough to have our way.

We are the Collective. Civilization must make way, for civilization implies rules and restrictions, and respect for the individual, and this is anathema to the Collective. We will, and thus it must be.

Resistance is futile. Nationalization is inevitable. Accept and obey, for Big Brother watches ...

(P.S. No disagreement here. And yet ... people make very poor ants - they're willful, inclined to work for their best interests, and wither when enslaved. But this sort of thing does seem to be the trend, amongst the pundits of the Academic Left.)
