:just because we are mass produced we have the right to do whatever we feel like.

Sierra: It isn't because we are mass produced, I have this odd feeling that there are more ants in this world than there are humans, but rather because we have an advanced ability to communicate and create. There are many other animals out there that probably have the same level of brain power as we do, but we have found more advanced ways of expressing that knowledge in terms of social unity.

Sure, you say that it isn't a human right, it's not even an animal right, but I would be willing to bet you don't live in the middle of Canada, with forests and natural surroundings, on your own, completely isolated from society. You probably have a pet, is that not the same as buying a human? You probably live in the city, where you have inevitably supported the need for human survival, and thus destroyed other habitats.

As much as we would like to think that we are all animal rights activists, the truth stays that while animal testing appears to be wrong to many people, it is only the fact that we have not found a mass way of communicating with other species, and therefore we assume what they want. Just as you assume that when your dog or cat or whatever scratches on the back door that it wants to go out, no-one can be certain that it wants you to paint the ugly green over.
