Yeah, I'm in to this stuff also. The only thing I like bashing more than Christianity are evil federal agancies like the FDA. I think their behavior in regards to genetically modified foods is nothing short of criminal. Its clear to me that the FDA is little more than a fake store front for big private interests and not the protector of public interests we pay them to be. They've allowed greedy corporate giants like Monsanto to conduct the most dangerous experiment in history (the mass introduction of GMO's into the enviroment via our food supply) without even blinking an eye. With almost no testing being done at all they assure us that GMO's pose no threat whatsoever to our health, and yet any ethical biologist can tell you that GMO's are virtually garaunteed to produce toxins and allergens that will have vast health ramifications for us all. The breadth and depth of their scathing lies and misrepresentations is staggering. Check out the reasoning behind their GMO safety claim:

A naturally bred tomato, for exmaple, is "generally recognized as safe". A naturally bred fish is also "generally recognized as safe". Therefore, if you splice their DNA together, the resulting freak fish-tomato should be perfectly safe to plant, crossbreed, and eat and therefore requires no testing or analysis of anykind. Case closed.

Are they really that stupid? Not bloody likely. Its got to be a payoff. When I was six years old I could tell you (and even demonstrate) that mixing two substances together frequently results in a product that has properties not attributable to either component substance. Example:

Water + Dirt = Mud.

And yet the FDA's vast financial resources doesn't afford them the luxury of a scientist with even a six year old's level of sophistication? I'm so mad I could spit.

Then Dan Glickman (secretary of agriculture), asswipe that he is, comes out in their defense claiming that there is absolutely no difference whatsoever between a genetically modified seed and its unmodified counterpart. Wow. Well gee Dan, I guess Monsanto just wasted billions of dollars in research to produce their genetically modified seed line since the unmodified counterparts that they already had are exactly the same thing! What an insult to intelligence this guy is. How does this two faced lying idiot sleep at night?

Now we're becoming the laughing stock of the world because big world power importers like England and Japan are boycotting our genetically altered seeds and crops. So in retalliation the U.S. is threatoning these more highly evolved nations with trade sanctions that could cripple their economies unless they accept american agricultural products that they consider to be potentially lethal to every man, woman, and child on the planet. Boy, does the U.S. suck or what?

And in the middle of all of this nonsense somehow the FDA can rationalize wanting to make vitamins accessible only thru a doctor's perscription - in the interest of public safety, of course. What a bunch of worthless scumbags. How did we ever let our government get so out of hand? When are we going to wrest it back from these corrupt, self serving, multinationals and their little corporate whores we call politicians? When?! If there IS such a place as hell, I think I know who its there for.
