Presuming that the confusion is honest, I should like to field my own opinion:

Darwin was wrong. His theory on natural selection, in general, has stood the test of time fairly well; like Freud, however, it would seem that there is much about the more specific elements of the theory that needs to be rethought. I would think that the more erudite ideas of Richard Dawkins, et. al. would constitute what would nowadays be considered 'neo-Darwinism' - to wit, a rethinking and reformation of Darwin's evolutionary theory, given new evidence and more modern paradigms of understanding.

Does this help?
