Some things are just wrong, Tawni. Intentionally inflicting diseases and pain on animals is wrong. Keeping animals in cages is wrong. Let me ask you this question: do good ends justify evil means? Personally, I think not.

The human race would be better off if it practiced more compassion towards other animals. Heck, if we did that, we might even start being compassionate to each other...


: What everyone that is against animal testing doesn't see is that without it, diseases would over run the population. Many people say that should be left up to *natural selection*. That would be the case if we weren't civilized. But as a civilization we have the means to stop disease with a cure or vaccination. People can die of horrible deaths from diseases and if it takes an animal to find the cure, so be it. I hate to sound cruel and inhumane but really, there is a purpose to it. Many people are set in their thoughts on this subject. It's just sad that they can't see that sometimes it is better to help the human race instead of the rat race.
