Sierra: "Caring is a weakness. It gets in the way of the big picture and you never get where you are heading. If you really think that there should be animal rights, do not base them on your emotions but rather your thoughts, which are generally more reliable (depending on how stupid you are). Green is not an option."

Riigghhht.... perhaps we should just stop trusting our emotions altogether. That way we can come up with all sorts of "objective" ways to view the world. Like science, right? Science is objective, right? Even though it is the construct of western patriarchal minds and has been used to justify the subjugation of nature, entire peoples, and entire genders and sexes.

Back to this emotionless world. We could, once and for all get it straight with the whole "love" thing. Screw emotions, there's got to be a formula, an equation for this stupid life-partner thing. And art, we could finally define what good art is, right? It clearly has NOTHING to do with capturing EMOTIONS, it's all technique. Same with music and poetry, which can all be broken down mathematically. And food and cooking, and spending time out doors, these are all merely functions in our lives, and no pleasure can be derived from them other than from the simple satisfaction of our bodily needs.

A world where EVERYONE made there decisions while keeping their emotions alienated would indeed be a frightening one. We're dangerously close already.
