No offense, but are you being purposefully dense? Either you really believe that plants feel pain on the same level as animals (making you, in my opinion, woefully ignorant) or you don't, in which case you're pretending to believe that position only for the sake of argument (and since I think it's the latter, that makes you intellectually dishonest).

Lastly, I find your dismissive attitude towards animal suffering ("Oh, the poor animals!") and your view that feeling compassion for them is "pathetic" moralizing to be ugly and repugnant. How proud you must be to be so "rational" among all us misguidedly emotional vegetarians! It's probably more intellectual dishonesty, however, since I can't picture you belittling people who bemoan poor, starving children in Africa.

Or maybe I've underestimated your cold-bloodedness. Whatever. I'm gladly through with you.
