I share your opposition to vivisection and animal testing, but unfortunately, it is not true that experimenting on animals has yielded no medical benefits for mankind. While there are many case where the animal testing has led nowhere, or even worse, to disasters, it has also clearly helped conquer various diseases and other problems.

The larger and more valid point we must raise is, is this the kind of people we want to be, i.e. people who willfully inflict disease and injury on helpless animals? I don't think that's something to be proud of, and the underlying rationale -- that good results can be achieved through evil means -- goes against everything I believe in.

Unfortunately, right now we're a vicious race; when we're not busy torturing and killing animals, we're torturing and killing each other. Whether or not you are optimistic about the human race ever changing is a personal matter. For myself, I find it hard to be an optimist.

: Animal testing has not proved a single thing on experments performed on animals worked on humens. most animals and humens have differnt biochemistry so some things might work on animals and not on humens so they really can't go by this uniffecient information. So lets help our fury friends and fight for them.
