I agree with some of what is being said, but, are you possibly going after the wrong target? It's possible that race and gender issues are smoke screens. The real issue is class or even caste. Why were Japanese-Americans interred during WWII, but not German-Americans? You can't easily tell who is of German descent. "Poor, white trash" is treated with the same scorn as any minority. And "given" the same welfare crutches. The real "Big brother" is the wealthy aristocracy. The race and gender barriers might very well still be there, but ask yourself why. None.
