Hi Robert;

Welcome back, I guess. I haven't been spending much time in here (the debates are more lively over at talkorigins). I wonder, what should a person do if s/he haven't been called, and getting down on his/her knees and praying doesn't accomplish anything (other than ruining ones knees)? I spent nearly two decades praying regularly, and honestly, deeply, wishing that I could have a spiritual revelation, and I got nothing. I took this to mean that "God" has other plans for me and so I became a scientist. Do you think that's a problem? If God really wanted my obsequiousness, don't you suppose he'd have taken the opportunity when it was there, instead of "testing my faith" beyond the breaking point? How do you answer this? I'm not being sarcastic (I know I have baited you in the past, and I'm sorry bro.) I'm really serious. Is it possible that God has plans that some people should take paths other than the one you are on? I'm honestly curious.
