: : This is a worldwide bullsh_t alert. Many big companies have been claiming to "help the environment" by reducing their contribution to enviromental pollution with things like recycling programs. We need to all remind ourselves and others that such programs do not constitute "helping the environment". The enviroment does not need any help, it just needs us to leave it the hell alone. By choosing not to dump toxic waste in a lake I am not helping ANYTHING or ANYONE; I'm simply not causing any harm. If I pass you on the sidewalk and choose not to break your legs with a baseball bat am I helping you? Of course not. Wake up folks - and stay that way.

: I'm interested DDN what way would you describe yourself politically? I'm not being a political sectarian or anything, just interested.

Excuse me, but the only possible way for us to help the environment, by your definition of leaving it alone, is for us all to leave. That would require spaceships, etc., which would require metals, etc., which would require mines and plastics plants, etc., which would not leave the environment alone.

Is this a connundrum or what!
