: : I wasn't talking about slob hunters, who (I'll agree with you) are not hunters so much as cruel idiots with guns. But even if you respect the animals you kill, how does that change their fate? Again, hunting is not necessary in 2000, so why kill animals when it's not necessary?

: My respect for the animals i kill may not change their fate but it does change the fate of the animals i don't kill. Some hunters shoot more then their limit or try to shoot an animal out of their range. I don't do that because of my respect for animals i don't want to take more then i need or try and shoot an animal out of my range because i know the best i can do is wound the animal. I don't want any animal i kill to suffer.

: When you say hunting is not necessary i take it you mean eating plants or factory killed animals. Either way a living thing dies. Whether it be an animal or a plant. Something has to die for humans to survive. i just cjose to kill something different then you.

That's right. I choose to kill plants, which have far less physical and mental capacity to suffer and, conversely, to enjoy life. You choose to kill animals which raise their young and enjoy their mates and all the other things which make up animal life, and you kill them by blasting a hole in their side. Your choice, as you said, but don't expect me to congratulate you for your oh-so profound sense of respect for those you slaughter.
