But it is about killing the animal.

: : So it's about power. Isn't it always about power? The killing of others, I mean. Caligula, Napoleon, Genghis Khan, Hitler, Stalin...it's about the power to kill another. Bravo, proud hunter, you have the power to take life, and you do so readily. There's another kind of power, however, and that's the power of mercy. It takes a stronger person to spare life than to take it; too bad you're teaching your children to take the weak man's path.

: First off, how can you compare me to Hilter and Stalin, who could care less who or what they hurt. It's not about the power to kill, it's about controling that power and not letting it get out of hand.

: Second you said it takes a stronger person to spare a life, well thats what hunters do everyday. If choose not to shoot because it is outside of my range then i am spareing that ducks life. I could kill it but i could only wound it at first which is not what i want to do.

The difference between stalking an animal with a camera, or simply your eyes, and hunting is in the killing. You choose to exercise your power to kill, which is your right, but what do you get out of it, and is it a good thing?
