: 1) Yes to ease their "pain" Quotes because you can't really be sure if they feel pain either.
: 2)No because the painkillers we use to ease our pian would kill a plant.

You know that's not the point of the question.

: That was a very good explination on how plants can't feel pain, but you can't know for sure because you can't ask a plant. Also you don't know if an animal is just reacting to stimuli and not feeling pain. Yes they have a brian but you just can't know.

How do I know you feel pain? Sure, you say so, but maybe you're just reacting to stimuli. Getting real for a second, do you really believe animals don't feel pain? They certainly let you know when they do by screaming (the philosopher Descartes believed animals were like machines, and any cries of pain they made were only unthinking responses to stimuli. For that reason, he cut them up alive, without painkillers. Do you believe a guy like Descartes, or your own gut?).

: Anyways it doesn't mean anything because the pain inflicteed on an animal during hunting is usualy minimal and it is just a part of nature. Huters (humans) kill and eat their prey(anything-including humans in cases of life or death like the movie alive which was based on a true story). That is nature.

Well, yes and no. Predation is a part of nature, and nature is "cruel" in that animals suffer at the hands of each other, but that doesn't mean that human beings have to act like other animals. After all, the law of the jungle is right makes might. Does that make it okay for a big man to knock down a small man and take his property? Of course not. We can rise above the law of the jungle.

Anyway, Hunter, I hope you consider, once in a while, the animals you kill, their lives, and what it would be like to be in their place when your arrow comes out of nowhere and tears into them. Just consider that you don't need to shed blood to live well. Maybe you'll give up hunting after all, or maybe not.
