: Question: Do you ever eat meat? If so, is that the same thing as eating another human? Obviously, the answer is no.

Obviously the answer is yes (where is it obvious that the answer is no?) Its identical. Flesh is flesh. Youd never be able to tell the difference. The only difference is that you have your own particular spiritual beliefs which lead you to believe that eating humans is wrong.

: Am I in favor of torturing animals? The answer is no. We have a pet cat and a pet dog, and I grew up on a dairy farm where we raised all kinds of animals. We wouldn't have considered torturing our animals just for the sake of torturing them. However, we had no qualms about killing the rats and mice that destroyed our grain. Rattlesnakes were not accepted in the barn. And I still kill cockroaches when I see them around.

Youd consider a dairy farm a pleasant place for an animal (cow) to be forced to "live"?

: However, using an animal to test a product -- particularly a medical product or procedure that will keep my children or YOU alive is NOT torture, even though the animal may suffer. Does the doctor torture me when he gives me a shot? No, the procedure causes pain but that isn't the same thing as torture.

How dare you. First of all he said was thirteen, not a three year old retarded child, which is how you are addressing him. Anyone who does a small amount of research can easily discover that aniaml "testing" is tantamount to torure. The pratices are cruel, barbaric and exrutiatingly painful (and let me know if youre interesting in hearing the specific details). Youre disgraceful for trying to have this boy believe that a simple shot at the doctor is equivalent to the agony millions of animals edure in laboratory's. Also, Im guessing this boy possesses enough intellegence to realize that there are greater alternatives to animal testing/torture.

: And finally and most importantly, in the Bible God commands that we recognize the sanctity of human life. Animals are in an entirely different category over which man has dominion and stewardship responsibilities.

Thats your interpretation of the bible. And perhaps this boy wants to use his own brain to come up w/ his own opinions w/ out the bible doing his thinking for him. How wonderful that at such a young age this boy has such compassion and that his ability to respect and want only the best for other creatures instead of selfishly using/abusing them for warped reasons has been able to remain intact despite all the social brainwashing around him.
