: Lark: "I've yet to meet someone who was just gay the way heterosecuals are just heterosexual, no it has to be their entire life, they way they dress, walk, speak and act and it just pisses me off."

: You're right on this one Lark. I've never met a homosexual person who, upon meeting another person, assumed they were homosexual, because homosexuality isn't the "default" sexuality. I've never met a homosexual person who is entirely blind to the fact that society pampers and caters to them through laws, advertising, and media, because it's heterosexuals who have marriage, sexualised advertising, and romantic relationships coming at them from every form of entertainment. I've never met a homosexual person who said "I just have to say that I dont hate hets, I dont hate het people who do terribly abnormal things to each other for gratification BUT..." The only part they'll say is the "BUT..." part, and as far as I'm concerned, their anger is far more justified than yours is. The shit society forces upon us in media and advertising is hurtful and repressive towards homosexual members in our societies. Scrawls in the bathroom stalls are a means of fighting this, and they do not oppress your life in the least.

Do to wrongs make a right?

: It seems like you just had to throw in the inflamatory comment about abnormality, didn't you? Abnormal says who? You? No more abnormal than people of visible minority in the US and Canada. Should they pack up and shut up too?

Where did I say it was abnormal? I think it is, the physical body was not designed with that in mind but I do think people should be free to be abnormal as long as their private life is not made public business. The whole normality thing is a red herring.
