Ron Coronado's incredible speech at DC convention

Many people on this site have no doubt heard of Ron Coronado, sinker of whaling ships, liberator of mink, and warrior for the Yaqui Indian nation in North America. He recently got out of federal prison after spending almost five years in the cold hands of the enemy on federal charges related to handling information on mink raids and refusing to snitch on fellow warriors.
He gave one of two keynote speeches at the National Convention on Civil Disobediance in Washington DC a couple weeks ago. It was probably the most inspirational speech I have ever heard, and it got me thinking about a lot of things.
According to the beliefs of his tribe, those of us who fight for the land and the people today are the reincarnated spirits of those who fought before to hurl the European invaders back into the sea from whence they came. Most traditional(pre-monotheistic)religions have comparable beliefs in reincarnation. He emphasized that, like those who went before us, we fight today against those who would have all the land and everything on it for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it. He spoke of Geronimo, not even a chief, but a medicine man,who had the uncanny ability to predict weather and reliably seemed to know of distant simultanious events affecting the security of his people. He spoke of battles fought centuries ago over issues still in contest today. In the end, those warriors died with their jobs unfinished, so today their spirits are said to continue the fight through those of us who take on the enemy today.
Anyway, this speech got me thinking about the truly desperate straits much of the world faces in the coming age of total corporate control. It was said by the elders that eventually the invaders would so destroy the land that they destroy themselves, it it now looks like this could really happen, what with the current rage for tampering with genetics and all. If we do nothing, in 50 years all crops will be geneticly engineered monocultures waiting for an epidemic to utterly destroy a year's food. Corporate barons will decide who gets seeds-and "terminator genes" like the ones Monsanto tried to develop will make sure no unauthorized crops can be grown. Animals will be geneticly engineered to produce profits and nothing else, and finally they will try to geneticly alter humans for a better fit to the workplace. To do this, they will need absolute power over the economy and the ecosystems that an economy is just a subset of. To get it they will make governments APPEAR to govern less, while(under the guise of property rights) they add far more government than any non-totalitarian regime ever dreamed of. Remember, only Nazi Germany tried to rule the genetic blueprint of life before, and we could now be looking at the worst thing since the Nazi era.
It also occurred to me that no matter what issues each of us is working on, we all fight the same CEOs of the same companies, the same politicians they own, the same brutal cops, and so on. We are like the serpent protrayed by the American "revolutionaries" cut into 13 pieces with the slogan "Unite or Die." Therefore, we must all hang together or we will all starve seperately(or be imprisoned like Ron was). This is a WAR and it is a game they play for keeps, so we'd better learn to play for keeps if we value our lives and freedom. See you at the IMF April 16 in Washington, DC!
