is there anyone out there who has gone to university with the belief that here is a place where our thoughts can flourish, our minds expand, a place where we are free to become what we want? After three years i have discovered that this is simply a load of crap! I have recently begun a course where the lecturer appears to have made up a word and based the entire subject around it! there is no logic to it whatsoever, no founding for any of his thoughts, no nothing! Not one person in the class can find the word in any dictionary or thesaurus and to be frank not one person cares! I'm sorry to moan but what is it about some lecturers that makes them think that they are one step above the rest of the world? As far as i can see they have escaped the world for what ever reason (fear most probably) and if there are those out there who enjoy teaching make sure you make the time for your students outside of the classroom - don't put 6 time slots on your door and expect 50-60 students to fight it out amongst themselves and refuse point blank to make time for any more than the 6 who managed to get to your door 2 seconds after the notice was posted up! I'm sorry to moan and my spelling and grammar is terrible but what can i say, this is a subject i feel strongly about! (petty i know but there you go)!
