: I wholeheartedly agree! Cows deserve respect! They are beautiful gentle creatures which have provided sustenance for humans for time immemorial. It is a disgrace to humanity that cows are treated with such lack of respect. The slaughterhouse mentality has contributed to the downfall of society! I will not eat beef as it is the product of unspeakable cruelty. Power to the cows!

I admire your furvor, but unfortunately society has a nasty habit of gettingso used to things that it doesn't matter how awful they are. People like they're Gap clothes so much they ignore the slave labour in South Eastern Asia and South America. People like their oranges in winter, so they brush off cash cropping in Africa. And people like McDonalds to the point where the word slaughterhouse has no connection in their mind to the Big Mac they're gulping down. Then, companies and governments create a mentality in it's public that to care about these facts makes you a "tree hugging hippie", an oddity. They show extremists and idiots supporting causes on TV, whoever's angriest gets the headline, creating a mentality that to become one of these people in not sensible or responsible, and that it is in fact something undesirable to become active in issues such as these. And through this, the voting class perpetuates the ignorance that allows the cycle to continue. And, as all should know, it's hard to get a message out of a country's head when it's been pushed in for the past 30 years. God bless America, the nation of uncontrolled and guiltless consumption.
