: Are we here to discuss campaigns or what?
: On May 26, 1998 another animal rights activist and I climbed the roof of a McDonald's on Virginia Beach Blvd in Virginia. Dressed as chickens and armed with a bullhorn and a banner that read "did somebody say McMurder?", we kept police, firefighters, and Mcworkers at bay, on the ground, for over an hour while we reported McDonald's crimes against animals and the environment. We got two local TV stations, one local newspaper, Associated Press, and CNN Headline News. I think it's safe to say that a dinner table or two talked about vegetarianism that night. We were charged with breach of peace and tresspass and released on $1000 bond; court date July 1.

: Come on guys, let's replicate this demo!!!! And if anyone else has any campaign ideas to share, I'd love to hear them.

Just got back from court and it couldn't have gone better!! My fellow "chicken" and I were the first case heard-so everyone how came to court heard what we had to say. The judge told the McManager that he read her complaint but if she want to explain what happened in her own words she could-boy, and I glad she did!
She said that "some of her employees came up to her on the day in question complaining that there were two chickens in the store (the court roared with laughter) then she said, "I mean, that there were two chickens on the ROOF of the store (and again the laugher, even the judge). The judge asked what we had to say and we let lose with a quick-billions of animals killed, devastation to our waterways, seeking justice.... The judge agreed with much of what we had to say, much to the Miss McDonalds chagrin.

The judge fined us $100 for each of our offenses, but after we plead poverty we were given 50 hours community service and court costs ($72). WHERE IS THE NEXT DEMO!!!!!!!!!
