Dancing on the ruins...

Today was an exciting day. To do our part for End Corporate Dominance Day,
we (the Coalition to End Corporate Dominance) staged a protest and
organized a general boycott of the MuckDonald's in the Student Center at
Southern Illinois University. The turnout was great and we encountered
very little resistance from the "authorities." We showed up at noon,
just as the store was getting busy, with slick little factsheets and signs.
Ronald McDonald even made a cameo appearance, complete with bloody butcher's
smock. All in all, event was a success. We passed out 200 factsheets in
less than half an hour, and deterred many folks from eating there,
at least for one day. Two television stations and two newspapers were there.
Ronald got lots of camera time. If anyone is interested in more details or
would like a copy of the factsheet, email me at beanz@siu.edu.
Don't let this campaign stop after the 29th and the end of the McLibel suit.
get out there and raise hell for McD's everyday!
