: Hi to all,
: I have been wondering if anyone has thought to challenge the use of "Restaurant" in McDonalds advertising. What is the actual definition of restaurant and can they use it like this...I mean really, would you take out your valentine to this 'restaurant' to celebrate!!!!!!!!

Hey, wanna hear something REALLY sad? A friend of mine was proposed to in a McDonalds -- and she went there for the reception (which i skipped). Anyway, according to my dictionary, a "restaurant" is = A commercial establishment serving food.
(Well, mcdonalds is certianly commercial.) What about the definition of food? "Solid nourishment, what one eats".
Sorry, McDonalds, you lose out big on the nourishment angle.
