This is an interesting site. You shouldn't have to feel apologetic, however, for meat consumption. Humans are physiologically omnivores. You can tell omnivores by the length of their intestinal tracts. Wolves and other carnivores, for example, have very short intestinal tracts -- as meat is easily digested and absorbed. On the other hand, herbivores (such as cows) have long digestive tracts because plant matter is not as readily broken down and absorbed.
I used to be a Carnivarian. I'd only eat meat, because I was morally opposed to taking the life of plants. But now....
