- Campaigns -Keeping McDonald's on our corner from getting a drivethru, and possibly getting them to move altogether
tomorrow night a few of us residents in our 40,000 pop. suburban community are going to stand in front of the city planning committee and tell them why we don't want it. There is a school on our street and many young children walk to and from school, and past McDonald's. A drive-thru would only be a danger to those children. If anyone has any ideas about what can be done in this ongoing dispute, please leave suggestions. Also, this restaurant is continually dirty, unpleasant, the people are rude, and the service is horrible. A lot of people feel the same way but are intimidated by the corporate power of McDonald's and just keep to themselves. This Mom will not stand by and watch her neighborhood be held hostage any longer... None.
