University Endowment Scandal and Bush Campaign

The February Harper's Magazine in a 14 page story by investigative
reporter Joe Conason will detail the finances of the University of
Texas, one of the primate research facilities. UT has a 13 billion dollar
endowment.
The Texas governor has named a friend to the Board of Regents. The
result
has been that 9 billion of the 13 billion dollar endowment has been
privatized
.. with fewer controls on the investments. In addition the article
chronicles the government of Bahrain granting exclusive offshore
drilling
rights to G W Bush's company when his father was President, as well
as SEC investigations of his dumping stock without notifying other
directors.

Animal rights activists have questioned all candidates of the 3 most
widely covered political parties and have found some history of animal
abuse in
all. However the one with the most contributions by oil, gas, cattle,
factory farm, and other animal abusing industries seems to be the Texas
governor, whose execution of over 100 inmates is opposed by abolition of
the death penalty groups, whose prisons' denial of worship rights to
prisoners on death row has aroused the opposition of religious groups,
whose Houston air has been rated the filthiest in the nation.
