'Fun' isn't the word for this, I'm afraid ...

I'm not rich, and it would be easy to adopt a philosophy that advocated robbing them - except that I'm mature enough to know that such a philosophy would be self defeating. I am well aware that not everyone who claims to be making things better actually is, or ever intends to. I am also aware that the well being of those who succeed and prosper from business pursuits seems suspiciously connected to the general success and prosperity of a society. Knowing that there are those who mean ill for my society, for reasons obvious with only a passing familiarity with the competitive nature of the world, my course of action seems plain.

That is, of course, to support the rights of those who "make". Certainly not my own concept; Rand can be fairly eloquent in this regard (if you can overcome the neo-Marxist form of her thinking). One also ought to think of those who cannot "make" (a tip of the hat to Kant, as well, if I may be so bold).

Goodness. This sort of thinking was once ubiquitous. Then again, so were literate high school graduates. Perhaps these changes in our present-day situation are also related ...
